Terms of Use Wi-Fi Network

1. Purpose

These general terms of use (GTU) govern access to and use of the public Wi-Fi network provided via the captive portal of [Ruckus Networks] (hereinafter "the Provider"). Access to the Wi-Fi network implies full acceptance of these GTU.

2. Access to the Service

The Wi-Fi service is offered free of charge and is not guaranteed. The Provider reserves the right to interrupt or restrict access at any time, without notice, for technical, security, or maintenance reasons.

3. Data Collection and Retention

In accordance with the Federal Act on the Surveillance of Postal and Telecommunications Correspondence (LSCPT) and the Ordinance on the Retention of Communications Data (OCCC):

  • Connection data (logs) may be retained for up to 6 months, without recording the content of communications.
  • Data retained may include: MAC address, IP address, date and time of connection, and volume of data exchanged.
  • This data is protected against unauthorized access and is only transmitted to the relevant authorities upon legal requisition.

4. User Commitment

The user agrees to:

  • Not use the network for illicit, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
  • Not attempt to access other users' information systems or exploit security vulnerabilities.
  • Comply with applicable laws, particularly regarding intellectual property, child pornography, terrorism, cybercrime, and hate speech.

The Provider reserves the right to block or limit access to certain services or protocols (streaming, P2P, etc.).

5. Liability

The Wi-Fi service is provided "as is." The Provider is not responsible for:

  • Service interruptions, data loss, or direct/indirect damages related to network use.
  • The security of transmitted data. The user is encouraged to use a VPN to secure their communications.

6. Security

Access to the Wi-Fi network does not guarantee secure communications. It is the user's responsibility to:

  • Update their system and software.
  • Use secure connections (HTTPS, VPN).
  • Protect their equipment with antivirus software and firewalls.

7. Acceptance and Modification of the Terms and Conditions

By clicking "Log in" or "I accept," the user acknowledges having read and accepted these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions may be modified at any time. The applicable version is the one displayed on the captive portal upon login.
